Before you begin

Important information

A request may be submitted for the three preceding years. The clinic recommends applying for the current year after it has ended.

Who may apply

A taxpayer who paid for their own treatment or eligible treatment of a spouse, parents, children or wards.

Collecting the certificate

In person with a passport, or through an authorised representative with a passport and power of attorney. Certificates are not emailed.

What to submit

The prescribed certificate and, for a relative’s treatment, documents confirming the relationship.

Children and former wards aged 18–24

Russian tax guidance allows eligible treatment expenses for children, including adopted children, and former wards up to age 24 when they study full time; the rule applies to expenses from 2022. Supporting documents depend on the expense year.
