A child’s behaviour is shaped by age, sleep, demands, home and school context, hearing and vision, anxiety, development and physical health. The phrase cannot sit still is not enough for diagnosis.
Persistent difficulties seen in more than one setting and affecting learning or relationships warrant paediatric, neurological, child psychiatric or clinical psychology assessment. Information from family and school and alternative explanations matter.
The centre may discuss associated sleep, muscle tension, sensory load and calm body skills. These sessions are not presented as ADHD treatment and do not justify stopping educational, behavioural or medical support.

Learn skills for yourself and your loved ones
At Doctor Pervushkin’s seminars, you explore self-care techniques with a teacher and learn skills for looking after yourself and your loved ones. Choose a topic and ask a qualified practitioner which practices are appropriate for your condition.

Can ADHD be diagnosed at an osteopathic consultation?+
No. Diagnosis requires specialist assessment across settings and exclusion of other causes. The clinic physician may recommend an appropriate specialist.
Should medication be stopped before a visit?+
No. Prescribed medication must not be changed without the treating clinician. Provide the name and dose.
Does a parent stay?+
Yes. The format is agreed with parent and child. Any practice is voluntary and stops if the child is uncomfortable.
