Understanding the concern
What to know before booking
Pain in the lower back, neck, thoracic spine or joints may follow overload, injury, age-related change, inflammation or an internal condition. The same symptom can have different causes, so the consultation begins with clinical assessment rather than a technique.
The physician reviews the pattern of pain, its relationship to movement and load, available reports and imaging, and any neurological symptoms. When appropriate, gentle osteopathic care may form part of a broader plan to improve mobility and reduce functional tension.
The aim is not to promise a universal cure, but to agree realistic goals: easier movement, return to daily activity, sensible load management and timely referral to neurology, orthopaedics or rheumatology.
